Up until a few weeks ago, I was able to use manual fan control with G-Helper to run the fans faster than Armoury Crate would have allowed. With AC I couldn't exceed ~5300 on the CPU, but with G-Helper I was able to push that fan beyond 6,000 RPM.
However, somehow it stopped working after I updated my SSD firmware, and I haven't been able to get it working again, even after reinstalling Windows or trying a fresh install with no internet connection (in order to evade the forced BS driver shenanigans that Asus likes to force). Doing an EC reset by holding the power button also hasn't helped.
Has anyone else run into this and know if there's a fix? Or did Asus intentionally push a stealth update to lock out the hardware?
