Yep, sorry about that. I can absolutely say that unless Nvidia will respin 980M on 20nm next year to make it significantly cooler (you're guess is as good as mine what's happening about 20nm GPUs though), it won't be possible to shoehorn it into a 19mm thick chassis though.

Due to the delay, any future announcement will(/should) be made in reference to the launch and retail spec, so as to avoid further confusion (or I will kick some ass here).

Any ideas on what the battery life might be?? I really want a laptop setup like this but anything else with specs close to or better than this, that I am looking at, kind of maxes out at like 3 or 4 hours at most with the settings ridiculously low. Most of the time with the battery only lasting like 2 hours, if that! On an "ultrabook" gaming device, on low energy settings I would want at least 5 or 6 hours.

No comment on performance, features or function until launch now sorry. We've gone back to reassess some elements of the design/manufacturing, as we're obsessed with getting it right, hence the delay. As a premium product within a premium brand, you expect nothing less 😉

Almost without exception ALL modern laptops will have battery boost technologies that reduce/modulate clock speeds that are both hardwired into the silicon design and into the greater package. You will almost always get better performance plugged in. You shouldn't need to manually change the settings beyond 'balanced' though, although Nvidia's GeForce Experience software will let you set the FPS target for example.

Ok.. so the gx500 isn't coming out to play this year. Can anyone give me any info on the NX500? Will that be soon? This month or next?

Should be out very soon, there was a hands-on on Sept 30th.

It would be awesome if the display supported G-Sync.

The current GSync module is huge and 'high' power consumption so impossible to port to any mobile device currently. Future generations might change this however.

Regarding external displays, Nvidia currently doesn't support mobile GPUs for GSync in its drivers.

Any idea on the approximate release date of GX500? My current laptop is pretty dead and I would like to wait for the GX500 if its going to be released early 2015.

Thanks

We're not committing to a release date sorry, only sometime in 2015.

G751 is already awesome, Ithink
I'm in saving money to get one of that , lol

Is GX500 will be better than G751 (in performance) ?
Let's get 32 Gigs of RAM for our brain ! , Be 100% creative 😄
