Hello everyone, just picked up an M15 with the 6 core and the 2070.
I was really bummed to find out silent mode doesn't actually make the laptop silent when not playing games. it's sitting at 34c on the CPU and the fans are at 2500RPM which makes my quiet office not so quiet. If you switch to balanced, the fans quiet down for a little bit (like 3 seconds) then they ramp back up again.
So I figured, ok, I will try manual mode. No such luck, if you set the fan speed to 10%, they pulse very annoyingly between 1600-2800RPM.
Setting them to 0, doesn't help as the fans going from 0-10% makes them overshoot RPM then slow back down to only begin pulsing again.
Anybody else have this issue? The only thing that solves it is using a USB C charger, then the fans are much quieter.
