I have an ASUS ROG GM501GS that is about 1.5 years old. A few months ago I unplugged the AC Power one day and the computer turned off immediately. It seemed to me that the battery was the issue and once I plugged it back in it seemed the battery health report indicated it had gone bad. I replaced that battery and the new one arrived with a 60% charge, and Promptly charged up to full and when I unplugged the AC power it turned off again. I have tried upgrading bios, playing with power management settings, doing hard resarts, I actually reinstalled windows during this time for another reason, and no luck. I also had it in to a local repairman who said there were no signs of damages to anything on the motherboard or in the charging circuit. Any ideas how to get this running on the battery again?
