This seems to be a theme, sadly. Not only you can't check what newer firmware improves upon, you risk having something broken like it happened to me last time an update was forced through Windows.
It's really a pity, idk if the support on Chinese/Taiwanese forums is better, chances of me buying any product from Asus in the future are going down fast.
