G71gx Help please

A couple days ago I put an Asus G71gx on Lay-Away at a local Pawnshop. The system works great but the people there put a copy of Windows 7 x86 on it and nothing else...not even Updates. I know how to get that part fixed but it looks like I'm going to need all of the Base Drivers and Software. I tried looking on the Asus site but nothing is listed of the G71gx. Where can I go to get these? or Does anyone know if I can get a CD/DVD from Asus with these on it or an Original Install DVD?

Also what was the Original OS installed on it? Was it XP, Vista, Win7?

Thank you in advance for the help.

The original OS was Vista Ultimate/Home Premium.
You can get divers here:
http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G71Gx/#download
Just select the OS that you have, and you're ready to go.

Thank you that review was extremely helpful! and so was the Drivers link! I'm starting on Downloading all of the Drivers I can.

And THX1138 Thank you also for the Direct Link...I tried every which way I could but just couldn't find it.

gilbert, Thank You for the Suggestion but I kinda can't the OS that they put on it is the 32 bit and it's not even Authenticated...No Serial Number was used to install... But I do have several Copies of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 so I'll just put one of those on...A good Friend gave me 2 Family Packs and I've use 2 out of all 8...lol

if u have a 32bit you cant use 64bit os in it ,unless u use a virtual box as a 64bit guest on a 32bit host .. but now a day is so easy to get a permanent key online for free i suggest do a clean install of windows 7 and get a permanent key online....

I thought the Core2Duo was a 2 Core 64bit CPU? and like I said the Pawnshop was the ones that put the 32bit OS on it. I didn't know it had Vista to start with but by the Specs you linked it had Vista 64bit originally and I downloaded the Drivers for Windows 7 64bit thanks to you. Now just to get the Lay-Away over with and that will be soon if everything goes right....and this will make 3 Premium Asus systems I own but only 1 portable....Yes I happy as all get out!
