Not enough information. Need to know specific conditions. If this is happening generally and not specifically, like in some app or program, it could be because your trackpad is enabled while using, say, a mouse for cursor movement. The lightest touch with any part of your hand can relocated the cursor. Or, if you are using the trackpad to manipulate cursor placement the same is true. The slightest stray touch.
If this skipping is randomly happening whenever the cursor is moved, as your post reads, then you might need to update or reload an ASUS setup utility specific to the keyboard or trackpad.
