I recently noticed when I enter the BIOS at startup (prior to starting Windows) and the computer should be completely idle, within a few minutes the CPU temp climbs to 90 C and the fans spin up full speed. There are no programs running - the CPU should be completely idle. I immediately exit BIOS and boot into Windows and the computer works normally.
