Help! I can't use my laptop this past week ever since tried to do a clean reinstall of Win 11 Pro. When I turn it on, all I see are these horizontal lines and small traces of the boot up screens. I hear the ROG logo boot sound and I hear the windows setup sound. So I know its booting, it's just the display thats the problem.
I tried to do a clean reinstall of Win 11 Pro a week ago using a thumbdrive but I couldn't get it to finish the setup because the laptop screen would just turn black in the middle of installing, sometimes it just restarts. Now, it just displays these lines when I turn it on.
I've tried all troubleshooting steps I've read online. Hard reset, AC adapter plugged in/unplugged, fully charged the battery and let laptop rest for 1 day... still no good.
I also tried connecting the laptop to my Smart TV via HDMI cable, just a black screen on the TV. I'm contemplating buying a USB C to HDMI Adapter since I read that the left USB C port on the laptop can output to external display and it uses the Integrated graphics card instead of the Discrete one. Is it worth a try?
