Issue Description
When a large white area is displayed on the screen, the display turns off suddenly (black screen), but the system continues to run in the background. I have to press the power button to reactivate the screen. This issue only occurs when the laptop is plugged in. It does not happen when running on battery power.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken
Used MyASUS in WinRE to reset the laptop
Tried multiple versions of graphics drivers
Intel Graphics Driver Versions: 32.0.101.6734, 6651, 6647, 6559, 6458, 6449, 6325
NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver Versions: 572.83, 572.70, 572.60, 560.94
Disabled Panel Self Refresh
Performed CMOS clear (EC Reset)
Reset display settings
Restored BIOS settings
Updated BIOS, Windows updates, and all drivers
Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove and reinstall GPU drivers
Uninstalled the display adapters via Device Manager, then reinstalled — no improvement
Additional Notes
The issue only happens while plugged in — works normally on battery.
Neither DDU nor Device Manager uninstallation has resolved the issue.
