Hello,
I have a GA503RM. Ever since I have owned the laptop, the darn battery drains while offline. There are lots of posts on reddit and a few on this site where people are experiencing the same issue. Tried:
uninstalling armory crate, configure win 11 hybrid sleep settings, usb charging is off in bios, and fresh windows install. My next test is running linux. I do not think this is a windows issue due to the amount of users having this issue and my other laptop does not have the issue running windows 11. Asus support was useless. I noticed that right after the warranty expired the “1” key randomly works. I tried reinstalling keyboard drivers and motherboard drivers. My next test is again linux to rule out windows. This will probably be my last asus product. Their support is terrible. I used to own an older asus laptop that lasted close to 10 years. This one is only 2 years old and has some very odd ball issues. I am on the latest bios version. If linux does not show an improvement, i will be selling the laptop and going with a different manufacturer. I had issues with the last motherboard I bought from them which resulted in me selling it and buying a different brand. What happened to Asus’s quality. Both the keyboard issue and battery drain is pretty wide spread when you do a google search. Maybe someone should contact the FTC or some consumer protection agency for help. Laptops in this price range should not have issues like this. I use the laptop maybe 1 time every other week lol.

I did notice something. One of the usb-c ports charges anything plugged in. That maybe the culprit but there is no option in the bios to turn it off. Asus fix this!!! This causes bad wear and tear on the battery.

I am going to add a post to suggest putting in a complaint with the consumer protection. Something like cfpb or ftc. This issue will result in increased e-waste and false advertising as the device can no longer be considered mobile or a laptop. A small desktop maybe? I would not have bought if I knew this.
