Asus Zephyrus M16 Wi Fi - Not finding WiFi 6 networks

Hi,

I have a M16 Wi Fi with a MediaTek MT7921 WiFi card.

I have a WiFi 6E router but the laptop cannot see any of the networks. My phone can see them all with no problems but the laptop cannot.

Supposedly the laptop and chipset supports WiFi 6 so I do not understand why it cannot see the networks.

Any/all suggestions of how I can fix or see the networks/connect to them much appreciated.

Helloo nniillaa

Try running the Network and Internet troubleshooter.

Tried and no luck.

It can see other networks still no problem just not my WiFi 6 ones (I have my main one then I also created a guest WiFi 6 network just to see if that would help. It cannot see either).

I'm in Singapore so not blocked and is fully supported.

I also have WiFi 6 enabled in properties:

Any other suggestions? I also tried updating to a specific driver version as I found on another thread talking about fix for dropouts.

So far none have worked.

I can't say for sure, but wifi 6 could be a limitation in your country.

It shows I have wifi 6, but I'm connected by dual band 802.11ac (5GHz).

Are you able to select 802.11ax as this is wifi 6.

Sorry - replied above for some reason.

Also - I can see the WiFi 6 networks on my S24 Ultra - both of them so they're def broadcasting. Just laptop cant see.

Strange actually - just looked at that screen for additional properties - it says It's WiFi 6 as protocol but it's connected to my 5 SSD. I've triple checked the Router.

Ok,

Try this:

Open the MyASUS app, Customer Support, WiFi Diagnostics and run that.

When finished, you should get a message to restart your laptop.

On the reboot, it may install a new driver.

Does this help any?

Ran the test, it completed and said no errors found and then finished with no message to restart laptop.

All right,

Apparently you have the latest driver.

I'm about out of things for you to try, so I'll suggest to contact an official ASUS Technical Support Center for your region.

If they are able to get you connected to WiFi 6, please come back and share the solution.
