ASUS Zephyrus G16 GA605WI Issues

I have compiled a list of issues and concerns that I have with this unit. Almost all of them can be solved with drivers or firmware updates.

Software/Firmware issues
-audio randomly gets quiet in one channel "Likely Dolby driver"
-amazon video lags and then fast forwards repeatedly as long as the video is playing.
-slight flicker in oled brightness noticeable in most brightness settings
-Armoury crate power profile has CPU wattage set too high by default causing unnecessary heat and fan noise and reduces GPU performance and power budget.

Physical Issues
-small debris between glass and oled panel

Owners Manual/Website Issues
-Secondary M.2 ssd slot is not mentioned in the manual or website specs and there is no clear way to order an EMI shield for a second drive.
-Installing secondary M.2 can potentially cause a short circuit as there are two foil wrapped foam pads meant to contact an EMI shield and if an M.2 is installed without one the foam pads could touch components on the SSD resulting in a short.

A new problem to report.  The area where the volume buttons are gets so hot when playing a game that it physically hurts to adjust the volume with the buttons.

The area around the volume, mic mute and armoury crate buttons after 5 minutes of a game running is between 122-125°F the area in the center just below the display is 130°F.

Wattages need absolutely fine tuning, the wattage seems unnecessarily high on the CPU. I'd like to see some benchmarks of the benefit per watt on this CPU, unfortunately not much available yet.

The 'slight flicker in oled brightness noticeable in most brightness settings' you mention is related to HDR settings. I believe it's potentially related to auto HDR, in certain applications. I've managed to resolve it but I forget now which settings I changed exactly.

It is pretty evident that they don't even look at these forums, so it's a waste of effort to post here.  Just like their support takes weeks to reply with a canned response and then they run out the return period so you cant send it back and are stuck with it.
