I have an ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (model GX650RX) and the main 16” Mini-LED panel has suddenly developed a serious issue. It started with vertical lines and distortion on the upper part of the screen, and now the whole top section flickers in visible flashes. The secondary screen works fine and the laptop itself runs normally. I didn’t drop it, spill anything, or damage it physically. I've taken care of the laptop like my own baby and the issue appeared suddenly after normal use. The flicker is visible to the eye but hard to capture clearly on camera.
I’ve already contacted ASUS support for a repair, but I wanted to ask the community:
Has anyone else had this screen issue on the Duo 16?
Is this a common failure with the Mini-LED Nebula HDR panel?
Did ASUS repair it for you, or did you have to go to a third-party shop?
Any advice on repair timelines or what to expect?
This laptop has been reliable for years until now, so I’m trying to understand whether this is a known fault or panel failure.
