Hi,
I was wondering when new OEM AMD and Nvidia Graphics drivers will be released for this laptop?
As the current ones are quite out of date:
- AMD - 32.0.11018.8007 - 26/06/2024
- Nvidia - 32.0.15.6100 - 25/08/2024
The reason i haven't updated to the latest generic drivers from the AMD/NVIDIA website is because i am trying to stick to the OEM specific drivers for extra stability as i heard those are specially customised drivers for this device.
The NVidia driver really needs an update because the advanced optimums is actually broken. Whenever the laptop switches back from the Nvidia GPU to the AMD integrated GPU the screen freezes and forces me to power off the laptop by holding down the power button for 6 seconds. I did test the latest NVIDIA driver and advanced optimums works fine on that but not on this current OEM NVidia driver which is strange.
One other note on the AMD driver is that when i change the Variable Graphics Memory (memory dedicated to the Integrated Graphics) in AMD adrenalin from it's default to 4GB or any other value it automatically switches back to it's default value after a reboot which is rather annoying...
Besides those issues i'd say the device has been quite good so far. I think the OEM drivers should be updated at least every 2 months or so if monthly updates are too much.
