Asus GX 502 LXS - eGPU connection issue via Thunderbolt 3

Dear Forum Members,

The reason I'm writing here because I'm having issues with the above mentioned device (GX502 LXS) when I'm trying to connect my eGPU via TB3. The eGPU enclosure is a Razer Chroma and it has the same problem regardless which GPU I'm trying to connect (Arc A750 and RTX 3070TI).

It used to work with my old device (UX501 VW) after installing and running the "Thunderbolt Firmware Updater", but the following software is obviously unavailable for my current model. I tried it on a newer (12th gen intel) vivobook with TB4 and the eGPU is working there too with both Nvidia and Intel GPU.

I know I'm gonna be asked "why do you want to connect an eGPU to your laptop if it has an RTX 2080S?" and my answer will be: because the laptop overheats terribly and sounds like an airplane while gaming. if I'm not carrying the device with myself (a.k.a. staying at home) it would be nice to just plug in an eGPU and enjoy the hassle free gaming :).

Some information which may be important:

- running latest W11
- Nvidia driver is up-to-date

- Intel Arc driver couldn't be installed --> error code 8 (No driver was found that can be installed on the current device)

- Thunderbolt Control Center is installed

If you happen to have this device or any Zephyrus (around this era), and you have an eGPU - how did you resolve your device to recognize the external gpu? Any help is appreciated.

Regards
