Hi,
You have an ASUS ROG Dolby Atmos notebook, so :
You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG Dolby NB/DT) from the first post of this thread.
Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, but to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the CLEANUP process until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart). For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.
Thanks! really appreciate you helping me out
🙂Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've tried this 3 times now and I always end up in device manager with "Realtek(R) Audio" device and sound doesnt work
here is what I'm doing
disable wifi
cleanup - uninstall "Realtek(R) Audio" from device manager, uninstall Audio Control/Console, Dolby Access
restart
Launch Driver Store Explorer. remove all instances of a-volute | avolute | dax | dts | hdx | realtek with force delete checked
reboot, after reboot sound card shows in device manager as "High Definition Audio Device", windows audio service still doesn't start, gives error 0x80070005
install, launch "Install.cmd" right-click Run as admin, it reboots automatically when done
after reboot I have "Realtek(R) Audio" device in device manager, windows audio service still not starting and no sound
