Asus g14 2025 has boot issues only in high power profiles and screen freezes

My 2025 Asus g14 rtx 5060 has trouble booting, but only when it reboots into a high power profile such as performance or turbo. The computer works completely normal in eco or silent, it's only issue is in operating modes meant for gaming.

To replicate, if I am in eco mode, and I choose to reboot into a higher power mode like turbo, the screen gets stuck on "for those who dare". I hear the windows boot sound, and I see the face unlock turn on, but all I see is the "for those who dare" boot logo, unable to do anything.

I somewhat can fix this issue by waiting for windows to sleep, then waking the computer up by pressing any key.

I got this laptop less than a month ago. Everything should be up to date.

I’m having the same exact problem on the same exact model. Were you able to find a fix for this? I started encountering this problem after my windows crashed and I was forced to wipe and reinstall windows along with all the drivers on the ASUS site. After downloading drivers I downloaded g-helper and ran 3DMark and was getting horrible FPS (looks like it’s only running everything through the iGPU and not the dGPU at all). Having similar problems?

My solution varies a bunch. Pressing the sleep button and forcing windows to sleep sometimes works. Although, once it is in the high power mode, it preforms fine. I removed G-helper since it was way too buggy and seemed to have many conflicts with armory crate.

Specifically the GPU power mode seems to have the most impact with wether windows boots properly or not. I've learned to deal with the performance of "standard mode" as ultimate has the boot issue.

Also, having Nvidia Optimus turned on served massive help, and I have not seemed to see this issue repeat with it turned on.

Try that and lmk if your issue clears mostly after fiddling with those settings
