2025 G14 USB C Slow Charging

anyone else with the 2025 G14 cannot charge using USB C at Power Delivery speeds? I get a message in windows saying slow charging. Im using a Asus ROG 140W GAN charger and 240W USB C cable. The charger and cable works on my 2023 Flow X16 without issues. Is Power Delivery disabled on 2025 models? If so thats shocking for a 2025 laptop.

I have a same problem.  Here are a few others with the exact issue.

its been solved its a software issue with Battery Care on myAsus.

If you turn it off and remove MyAsus and then use charger then it works as expected. I then added myAsus back and did not enable battery care.

Same issue on the 2025 G14 here. I tried an Anker 100W laptop grade USB C charger from Amazon which didn't work, returned that and purchased the SlimQ 150W charger. It works with the barrel plug adaptor but not USB C on either port on the charger or laptop. Either charging at barely 20W or not at all on USB C.

I'm working on a review of the laptop and I can confirm I'm having issues with charging on a 2025 G14 with 5070ti. All of the below are testing on silent and dgpu disabled to minimize system draw to see how much is actually going back into the battery.

With battery care mode off and brick charger, the laptop charge rate dips to 5w or so. Eventually it will hit 100% and passthrough will work.

With battery care mode on and brick charger, no issues. The laptop can reach the 80% mark and passthrough starts.

With battery care mode off and usb-c pd 100w charger, charge rate has peaked around 60w. This has similar issue in that it stays stuck at 99% for a long time. A way around it is to put the laptop to sleep, let it charge to 100% and you'll see passthrough working.

With battery care mode on and usb-c pd 100w charger, the charge rate into the battery is very slow, ~20 watts. That along with normal consumption (youtube and some browsing) charging is so slow that the laptop does not reach 80% to being passthrough charging. Meter at the wall and inline usb-c test shows about 65-74w being pulled from the wall.

I'm going to run a few more test with usb-c pd but so far it has been pretty inconsistent with battery care on. Even with it off and with lower system consumption you would assume that more power would be diverted to the battery but it doesn't seem to be the case.

It's crazy Asus refuses to accept there is a problem. My replacement arrives this week but don't expect anything to be changed.
