What generation of displayport is the port on the ASUS ROG GL702VSK

As the title says what generation of displayport is the port and does it support g sync?
I've Checked the manual online and its not there also can g sync be carried on thunderbolt if I get an owc 12 port dock will it work with g sync on the integrated port?
I'm Simply looking for an nice 144hz 1440p monitor and want to know if g sync is even supported on external monitors so I don't waste my money if I can't even use that feature.

I own a GL702VS and game on a Acer Predator Xb271hu (27'' gsync/IPS) and I can confirm Gsync works perfectly on the external monitor
