Hi friends, I bought a new Asus Rog Strix G614PP 20 days ago and I'm getting the fatal error as written and it restarts automatically. I tried following the instructions open in the Asus Ticket, but nothing. I read around that there are many who have this type of problem. I reset the computer to factory settings but it didn't solve the problem. However, I noticed that when it's charging, there is electricity on the monitor's chassis, I can feel it right under my fingers. Could that be it? I've ruled out all software problems... do you have any advice? Thank you all so much. Disappointed with Asus.

Not sure if it's asus or nvidia, but the last few recent nvidia drivers have completely bricked gpu overclocking functionality. I have the strix scar g18 4080 i913980hx with some upgraded 32gb 5600mhz kingston ram and have used ghelper and throttlestop since I got it back in early 2023. Never had any issues and have always been able to run max core and memory clock offset in ghelper without any instability. After these last few nvidia drivers if I keep my overclocks maxed per usual through ghelper games basically insta crash on startup and every single time it's some sort of dxgi hung error or something along the lines of dxgi. As soon as you reset GPU overclocks to 0 games start right up no issues. I troubleshooted and have still been trying to find a solution for this for some time now and haven't found anything and only recently kind of started hearing some similar cases with other folk. I do think this could be on nvidias side and ASUS needs to get into contact with them to release more frequent asus/nvidia drivers specifically for strix scars and asus laptops etc. I know someone else has recommended or said something similar to this in a few thread down that i was reading. I love my rig to death when it has full functionality and doesn't brick my games on startup but recently there has been nothing but instability with recent bios updates etc. I think this issue is either from most recent bios 333 or recent nvidia drivers. I've kept my laptop fully optimized and don't change my setup almost at all from day to day and I use it often so I know this is most likely not a user side issue. If anyone else has been having issues please spread info and post your issues so maybe asus sees it.

Hello,
With what you are describing especially the static / electricity sensation your best option is to get a replacement asap, take it back to the shop or online retailer and go for a replacement.

Even though I reset the PC to factory settings, the problem still occurs. I've tried all the necessary updates, but the problem is still there, ready to pop up. I really hope someone has a solution. I certainly wouldn't have expected this from a computer that costs over €1,900. I've read several forums where this problem affects many customers. Can anyone tell me if I should return the computer due to a hardware problem? Or will it be solved with software updates? I'm truly very disappointed!!!

A factory reset does not always help; for the very first image of 22H2 (when the laptop worked flawlessly), the old bios is also needed. But it is locked from downgrading, and even if you unofficially reflash by replacing the winbond flash drive, ME will go into enhanced protection mode (the proprietary Asus code is sacred to the detriment of the user) you will find that any driver newer than 2023 makes a very strong delay in latencymoon. And that's not all, you can try searching all over the Internet for old removed drivers from 2022 or even slightly dated back, and you will find that everything works flawlessly and without bsod. These are 100% artificial problems, and for example De** laptops generally secretly disable the HEVC/H.265 decode in new bios updates. The era of one-day notebooks with endless subscriptions has arrived.

Good evening everyone. I found the problem with my computer. Since I always have the computer on charge, I noticed small discharges on the frame outside the screen. These discharges have been present since the first time I turned it on. I tried using it without a charger, and the error practically disappeared. I strongly believe the problem is electrical current leakage on the frame. I used the computer for a good hour without any problems. I hope you will also check the situation. I will go to the seller tomorrow morning to return the item and have it replaced.
