Upgrading GL502VM M.2 SSD

There is only 1 M.2 slot in GL502vm which makes it difficult to upgrade to my new Samsung 960 evo M.2 ssd ....particularly the data migration process.

What are my options ?

I have tried buying a m.2 enclosure and it was not compatible with the Samsung 960

What about cloning to the new M.2 drive externally with something like this?

Cablecc USB 3.0 to SATA 22pin 2.5 Hard Disk to 2 in 1 Combo Mini PCI- E 2 Lane M.2 NGFF & mSATA SSD Adapter Converter

Hi kevin, i have a GL502VM-FY200T and i want to replace the original SanDisk SSD with a 500GB Samsung 960 Evo. How did you solved that problem?
For all you know, there's some limitation to the max capacity of SSD for our GL502VM? Because the italian Asus Assistance told me that my model supports SSD M.2 up to 256 GB, but it sounds very strange to me.

I can vouch that the motherboard for the GL502VM can handle a 1TB M.2 ssd. I'm not sure about anything higher than that. There is an option for the model to come with a 256GB m.2 ssd. That is probably what the assistant meant.
