Upgrade wireless on G53JW?

I've got a G53JW, I want to take out the AR9285 card and upgrade it to a card that supports 5 gHz band.

I've heard Intel Wireless-n 6300 is good for G73, will this work for me or would I be better off buying a USB dongle (was looking at Linksys AE1000)?

Any tips or tricks I should know about before diving in?

Uninstall the Atheros WiFi device from Device Manager BEFORE you remove the Atheros WiFi card.

Yeah, I was thinking that also.

I bought on Newegg cause I heard $20 ones from eBay might be fake.

I've heard you have to remove the whitelist from the BIOS, but I don't think that applies for Asus hardware.

I'm using a Intel Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 in my G53SW, and the only problem whit is, is that there is only 2 antennas in my model (don't no about your model), and i have just putted the 3. under the HDD bay and it working nice 😄
