Hi All - I have a ROG STRIX (System Model ROG Strix G614JV_G614JV) laptop which has 13Gen Intel i9 processor. The laptop came with 16GB RAM and I verified the maximum ram supported by the system (using command: wmic memphysical get maxcapacity). I replaced the original Samsung 16GB (5600MHz) with one Crucial 32GB (5400MHz) however from time i insert the stick, the boot animation is not coming up. When i revert back to the 16GB sticks, it boots as usual. Initially I thought that the sticks are faulty and got them replaced, however the problem does not seem to be there with the sticks...Can someone who has faced the same problem help?

Maybe is not compatible ,maybe the laptop canat use more than 32 but this chance is small maybe your bios is old and need to update.... Also this is not good to use 1 stick of 32gb better send it back to the store if you can and buy 2x16gb 5600mhz becouse if you use 1 stick you didn't get the benefits of dual channel memory ... Write in yourube "single channel vs dual channel vs quad channel" to see the different in performance same storage different performance even in your case if you use 1x32gb you laptop will be slower than use 2x8

I brought two sticks and the information i provided was when i put only one stick on the slot #1. I actually need 64 GB for memory intensive solutions...so I need 2x32 GB only....verified that the laptop supports 64 GB. This is a setback for me because i brought the device thinking I would be able to upgrade

Try first to update the bios if you dont use the newest version that can cause the problem on my new laptop i install 2x16gb whit 5600mhz but in windows show me that i only use 4800mhz when i update the bios everything was fixed

Regret the delay in acknowledgement Mx eXplode. Since I brought the laptop, about a month back...I updated the device with all the updates available to date. Even though the device is not ready to take in the higher capacity RAM sticks...
