Made a thread a while ago last year but it got closed. I am still missing options like DSR factors, Nvidia Image scaling and interestingly Resizable bar which apparently is available on some scar 28 models.
I have the 2023 Scar 18 4090 variant and so far support hasn't helped me out.
I've reinstalled windows on the laptop and I still don't see the features. However a person informed me a while back that they got back the NIS and DSR Factors features after a clean reinstall of windows on their zephyrus duo 16 and that made me realise that both the scar 18 and the zephyrus duo 16 have the 240 hz refresh rate(only exception being the duo has a mini led display) and thus the DSC factor cannot be considered here.
Asus still refuses to answer this problem. Please let me know if anyone has come up with a solution. Here's a link to the previous thread if anyone wants a recap.

You can't even edit Custom resolutions: Customize button is ghosted on G834JY (??).
Alternative tools to workaround these problems:
For DSR I'm afraid it's an NVidia fault often removing the option with new drivers... Google "4090 no DSR nvidia driver"

Thank you for your quick reply @hexaae and the alternatives. Could you tell me if reverting to an older nvidia driver would bring back those features or not? I have never used CRU before and I dont know if it will work as well as DLDSR which uses AI upscaling. If a revert to an older nvidia driver is viable then which exact driver would I have to revert to?
As for Nvidia Image Scaling, I found an app on steam called lossless scaling but it doesnt seem to work at all for me. Any solutions?

No, CRU is to create new screen modes only, nothing to do with DSR. Unfortunately I don't know which was latest driver with that option available 😞

Maybe we could get them back by flashing a custom vbios for msi on the scar 18. I don't know how dangerous this is. If anyone has tried flashing the vbios of GT77 or Titan 18 HX, please let me know. It might also allow me to undervolt my cpu further since apart from the -80mV undervolt from bios, none of my undervolts are stable. My highest score on cinebench r23 was 34.7k.

34k at cinebench is very good and the best you can get from G834JY if you see online reviews and yt videos of users who repasted it (!). It's perfect.

@hexaae the 34k is not at all stable and I can only hit it in a single run. The device blue screens if I do anything intensive. Also I turned on Re bar in Nvidia Profile inspector but it doesn't reflect in Nvidia App as shown in the ss below.

rBAR
"NVidia app"?? Try from GPUz, should show you something like this (I'm in Advanced Optimus mode):

I have it enabled tysm
Btw do you know how much of a performance gain I can expect by upgrading to 5600 Mhz RAM in terms of cinebench r23 score? I'm looking to upgrade but I wont purchase it if there is little to no performance impact.
These are the upgrades Im willing to make. idk if it'll improve my undervolts or not. Right now Im running a -80 on core and -40 P cache. Thats the max I can go without instability.

This laptop is quite silent compared to the others with the same specs and temps are decent, I wouldn't buy IETS GT500... but let me know in case if it REALLY works.
For the RAM buy the Kingston Fury Impact KF556S40IBK2-32 (2x16), single-sided and granted to work perfectly fine on G834JY.
