In the German computer magazines is reported that this Microsoft patch fixes Spectre „complete“ for Skylake, Kaby Lake und Coffee Lake CPUs .
Is still a BIOS update necessary?
If you fix the system (Notebook) double, with the Windows Update and the BIOS, will the performance get even worse?
did I understand this report correctly?

Nothing for notebook series like the FX753/553VD (locked at bios/firmware version 304 pre Spectre-Meltdown crisis) or GL753VD/553VD...nothing after months.
The FX753VD wil be my last Asus one...for sure.
