Hello, I was using headphones and the headphone jack for just the headphone part got disconnected (the jack was still connected to the jack in my laptop) and ever since then sound using headphones has been abysmally low quality. Factory reset didn't even help. https://imgur.com/a/dqSV3Ha that is basically all that happened to my headphones. i'm not sure how that could have messed up a soundcard.

If those are Bluetooth-also headphones, make sure it's not connecting via BT, since that audio sucks IMHO. Disable BT and make sure you're getting the wired connection. It may have switched to BT when you disconnected them. You could've also damaged the jack on the HP when it got pulled out. Make sure it's shoved into the jack all the way also.

If nothing else works, blame that dog.
