[SOLVED] GL703GS with 1070 8GB and Rise of the Tomb Raider freezes

Tested drivers 398.20, 413.35 WHQL

The game freezes the whole pc sometimes randomly (10min, 40min etc.), can't use mouse or keyboard (rainbow led still working). All I can do is hard-reset with power-button. Temps are OK for this laptop (under 88°C CPU and under 80°C GPU) and even with undervolting -125mV both core and cache is still reproducible.

Settings: HIGH, DX11, FULLSCREEN EXCLUSIVE

Can other users reproduce this (Start a new game and play until Lara is at home looking at the photos on the wall)?

undervolting is the problem.. decrease it to 100 mv or 98 mv

It just freezed, with sound in loop and no more working mouse/keyboard, in the intro starting a new game!
No undervolt applied at all. Always using config above (fullscreen exclusive etc.)
This happens even after factory reset and DDU + driver installation. Nothing installed except Steam. OS fully updated to 1809 and obviously McAffe completely removed using also official removal tool.

It was a mobo issue: new mobo from RMA fixed it.
