Hello everyone,
Thank you for welcoming me to this forum!
I'm new here, and I just bought a ROG STRIK this week:
ROG Strix SCAR18- G835LR-SA126W 18"LED 240 Hz
Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 32 GB RAM
1 TB SSD
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
Impressive hardware, I'm very satisfied!
I want to install a second SSD 2To
Samsung ssd 990 Pro NVMe M2 Pcle 4.0
Questions:
I open the PC, put the SSD in position 2, and close it again. I check to see if I have new storage space with a new letter, and that's it, I'm done? - I'm right ?
So programs are on SSD 1 and data is on SSD 2.
FYI, I don't play any games, I just do graphic design, so it's pretty cool, speed isn't priority.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hello,
Almost but a new drive will be completely blank so it will not have a drive letter assigned or contain a partition / formatting. Windows will detect the new drive and should pop up with a message stating if you want to format the drive... Then it will work and be assigned a letter.
If nothing happens you will need to do this yourself, Samsung have their own software to assist.

Or you can use Windows "Disk management" < initialise the drive / format.
