Hi, my Scar 18 (2023) i9-13980HX RTX 4090 is having some issues for the past months.
I don't run any of the Asus bloat, just ThrottleStop and G-Helper.
Until 2-3 months ago my idle CPU temps were high 40s low 50s and GPU were low 40s.
For the past month or two my idle temps on CPU are low 60s and GPU are mid 50s.
Nothing has changed really, no bios updates, haven't done the WIN 24H2 update, drivers are up to date so I really don't know what changed for that 10-15c increase.
Last week I was playing RE8 and for the 1st time ever it shut down because it reached 90c+.
I opened it, fixed the liquid metal because it was spread over, cleaned the burned places, reapplied LM where needed and that helped with temps DURING gaming. Now I'm in the 70s on both CPU and GPU when gaming, but the problem on idle and day to day stuff still remained.
Low/Mid 60s for CPU, mid 50s for GPU and fans (all 3 fans) running at over 2500rpm constantly.
Any ideas please?

Well, clearly you had issues with liquid metal degradation, but since that is fixed in games than I would say it's likely just ambient temperature being higher? You say it's the past 1-2 months which coincides with summer months, so you likely need to adjust your fan curves so you get better temps at idle. That being said, although high for idle, they're not really an issue as long as your in game temps are ok.
