ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2024) G834JZR with miniLED screen
My problem is whenever I enable HDR, my screen brightness always gets set to 65. In case it's not clear I'll elaborate.
1) Let's say my HDR is currently not turned on, I set the brightness level to something like 40 for example.
2) I enable HDR. Rather than keeping the 40 level of brightness, my screen automatically gets set to 65 level of brightness the moment HDR is turned on. Note that I am still able to change my brightness. It's just annoying that enabling HDR always changes my brightness to 65. This hijacking of brightness level only happens when I switch HDR on, the brightness level does not get changed when I switch HDR off.
3) This bug happens whether I am in the "Standard" GPU mode, or "Ultimate" GPU mode. In other words, whether I am currently using iGPU or dGPU, this brightness bug exists.
