But it's just me or OLDER games on this laptop are a torture?
On my GL703GS with i7-8750H + 1070 8GB + G-Sync 16:9 1920x1080 144Hz display everything was butter smooth... but now, playing old games on this new beast is a poor experience: it looks like every (old) game is running in a window (it is not of course, but the level of performance I see is that...) with constant stuttering and jerky screen strafe movements, instead of silky smooth G-Sync fullscreen exclusive I was used on the GL703GS with a much less powerful hardware.
Single core temps are ok with HWiNFO (i.e. apparently no bad pasting), and newer demanding games like A Plague Tale: Requiem run amazingly well of course. The problem is with old games DX9-11 I used to play in fullscreen exclusive + G-Sync with silky smooth performance, and now on the G834JY despite higher fps (but even when capped at 60fps!) they run with a lot of stuttering and hitches like there was no fullscreen exclusive at all... I really don't understand...
What's wrong? Can someone help me?
