Hi All.
I am creating this topic for visibility & I hope it gets the attention of Asus representatives.
The latest bios update for the Asus Rog Strix Scar 18 - Bios 319 is causing cpu performance degradation.
Users reporting they're dropping from 32,000 on Cinebench down to 29,000 or lower.

I myself have seen a performance degradation in Cinebench and in 3d Mark TimeSpy CPU score.
Previous Cinebench R23 was 34k current 31k. TimeSpy CPU score has dropped from 19384 to 18564.
Notes I am running in dedicated ultimate GPU mode, some users report that the scores are fine in standard mode.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Big news, hope asus is working in a bios update for this
"APO is found to offer frame rate uplifts ranging between 10% to 16%"
@SciGhost, i have already replied to you in the private messages
But i will talk about this particular subject in here too
Asus only marked the bios as optional in the asus website, nothing else, the bios still forced through windows update, no change
And for those who are in doubts if the bios is an "updated version", doesn't make any sense to me, obviously is still 321, doesn't make any sense updating the bios and the number version is still the same, right?
We didn't win anything, the petition didn't do anything, yet
Now we need to ask someone from Asus what's the point of the optional deal the website what they meant with that change, only them can answer the doubts we might have
@Yokehoo, you asked some nice questions that make sense can you share your opinion on this subject here?
P.S
Could you clarify what's going on?

Can I be very honest with you?
In life, we can't always change how businesses operate, so we have to adapt. Many manufacturers have pushed BIOS and driver updates through Windows Update for decades. System administrators and engineers have adapted by incorporating patch management systems and scripting operating system changes to prevent unwanted updates.
The simple truth is, your Change.org petition doesn't carry much weight. While raising the issue is commendable, Asus is under no obligation to make the change you desire. Therefore, adapting to the situation is your best course of action. If you want to block unwanted updates, you can configure a policy in the registry or modify local group policy settings to deny driver and BIOS updates.

@SciGhost, new bios out, 324, feedback?
And of course, asus now describes the new bios as OPTIONAL in the website but the bios is still mandatory pushed through windows update...
This is NOT OPTIONAL if windows installs the new bios automatically...
And of course always the same description
This is really helpful asus, amazing!
What about support for Intel APO??
P.S
BIOS 324
Any feedback folks? Everything is fine?

No idea I have not installed it yet.
Edit:
Just updated now. No noticeable improvement or decrease in performance. 3dMark Extreme
CineBenchR23
I did notice the colors look better in the bios, no yellow tint and more saturation.
Same in windows, so that is certainly interesting.

Hi SciGhost,
After the bios update to 324 now I have higher CPU temps (50-60) in idle and usage is only 3-5% as shown in armoury crate (performance mode) and even the GPU usage is jumping for no reason. TS is still enabled as before and I didn't change any settings.

I'm not having any issues with temps or performance loss.
Mind you I haven't really played that many demanding games of late. It's been mostly work from my side.
Overall the system has been performing just fine.
