Hi All.
I am creating this topic for visibility & I hope it gets the attention of Asus representatives.
The latest bios update for the Asus Rog Strix Scar 18 - Bios 319 is causing cpu performance degradation.
Users reporting they're dropping from 32,000 on Cinebench down to 29,000 or lower.

I myself have seen a performance degradation in Cinebench and in 3d Mark TimeSpy CPU score.
Previous Cinebench R23 was 34k current 31k. TimeSpy CPU score has dropped from 19384 to 18564.
Notes I am running in dedicated ultimate GPU mode, some users report that the scores are fine in standard mode.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Can you post screenshots of the undervolting settings from the throttlestop program and tell me what RAM you have installed?

It is weird that it hasn't worked for you. I did try to go to 317 and check how it worked and then to rollback didn't work anymore even if I switched to 318. The way I fixed it is that after flashing 318 again I did this:
Open command prompt, running it as administrator and type in this order :
mountvol Q: /S
Q:
del asusg834jz.bin (at least that was the name on my end, should be the same, if not you can enter the bios and go to ez flash update and check the name)
either way, if it is wrong it will say the file doesn't exist so there's no risk or anything.
I also went in to C:\Windows\Firmware\{d3bfd05b-1dc1-58e9-ace1-5d9db06c1109} and deleted the .319 file, you probably don't have to but it can't hurt. After that, it still has the yellow warning in device manager but it doesn't prompt or force the bios update anymore.

Thanks Kezmark.
I got it to work and hopefully won't have it overridden until we get a new bios. I Appreciate your help here! 😁

Hi Romch.
Memory is Kingston Fury Impact 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-5600 CL40 SODIMM Kit - 1.1V
Below are the screenshots of throttlestop and Cpu-z SPD.

thanks, RAM is KF556S40IBK2-32?
It won't be difficult for you to take screenshots of all these settings:
-0.1602 core
-0.1201 Ring. (P Cache)
-0.1201 E Cache.
-0.0293 on Intel gpu, Unslice and system agent.

Hi Romch.
No its KF556S40-16 x2. Ie 2x 16gb modules cl40.
Here are the screenshots you asked for, I added in the armory crate settings and GPU Undervolt/OC. Sorry for the ordering of the images the image upload tool ordering went a bit weird on me.
Armory Crate Manual CPU Fancurve: 30,40,60,70,80,90,100
GPU Manual same fan curve
System Manual same fan curve
E-Cache
Msi Afterburner Undervolt and OC. +180 till 2505 @935mv. +500 Memory
Intel Gpu
P-Cache
System Agent
Core
Intel Gpu unslice

I only find this on the Kingston website: https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KF556S40IBK2-32.pdf?ysclid=lnepgdffxw792712502
thank you for sharing your settings, your laptop is quite noisy)) I use performance mode
what is your average CPU temperature with current settings in armory crate and why did you disable base and memory clock offset?

Yes, sorry about my mistake. I checked the packing and indeed it was the KF556S40IBK2-32 modules.
My Laptop is not noisy at all, though I do use the IETS GT500 cooler at 1800rpm as well.
I don't really hear the noise as I am mostly gaming/working with a headset. Razer Blackshark v2, it has great noise cancelling capabilities.
You can have a look at this thread where I posted my temperatures. It's fairly cool.
As for the removal of the base and memory clock offset's I prefer to undervolt and overclock via MSI afterburner. Undervolting is much more effective than straight overlocking. You can achieve higher performance at a reduced voltage, which then translates to lower temperatures.

Did you disable virtualization for the program to work? if yes, where? in bios?

Yes to get throttlestop to work I did the following.
In bios, set the core voltage configuration to enabled. Offset prefix to - Set value to 0.
Disabled Core Isolation memory integrity.
Removed Windows Hypervisor Platform & Virtual Machine Platform from the installed Windows features.
