ROG team wants to know: Gaming questions for G series users!

X-ROG
Level 15
In our continuing effort to build better products and get to know you lot, we'd like some feedback from our G series users 😄

1) What type of games do you play on your G series?
2) What is your preferred peripheral setup?

Thanks everyone!

I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

I mostly play TF2 recently, after a very long break from first playing it right after release on the Xbox 360. Getting into it a lot more with all the different weapons and frequent updates now.

As for peripherals, I've got some cheap, generic wireless mouse; some cheap, generic wireless keyboard; and a not-so cheap, not-so generic external display/USB splitter. I mainly just use the last one for the larger display rather than the USB hub thing, but it was a gift so I figured I'd use it rather than buy a regular monitor.

Playing:
Diablo3
WoW
Guild Wars 2 (soon)

Other in less frequent rotation:
Aion
Tera online
Lineage 2
RoM 😉

Using only external mouse: A4Tech X710 and bluetooth Nokia headphones 🙂

1) DotA 2
2) Razer Lachesis 5600 with Steelseries QCK+ Mousemat
G55VW
Intel Core i7-3610, 2.3GHz
Corsair VENGEANCE DDR3 8GB 1600MHz (Replace Original Ram)
GEFORCE GTX 660 2GB GDDR5

I use a Logitech G700 for work. Great mouse - wired/wireless modes (RF interference/freedom), battery lasts but one day :(, but with 5700 dpi and 1000 Hz polling rate, I can't complain. The macro programming is pretty cool, because it is stored on the mouse, not the drivers.

I have a great desktop for gaming at home. When I play on my G73JH, that means I'm not home... so only the ROG mouse.
I use included kb, screen and sound. Sometimes bundled headphones. So I actually use the bundle that came with it including the backpack!

I play FPS like Far Cry 2, Crysis 2, Deux Ex: human revolution, Assasin's creed (all), Batman, CoD, MoH, etc. Also RPG like Skyrim, RTS Total War series (all of them), civilization IV and V. I also play very old games like AOE2 and even AOE.

Uhmmm!!! I play Smash Brothers Brawl on Dolphin.... 😃
- Starcraft 2
- Gonna try Max Payne 3 when I get my Vertex 4 installed 😉
I use my PC for work and other things too

Peripherals:

- Logitech G9 mouse
- Logitech Media Keyboard
- Samsung 1000W 5.1 speaker setup
- X-FI HD USB
- Western Digital 1 TB USB 3.0
- A rat... my best company! 😉
