X-ROG
Level 15
In our continuing effort to build better products and get to know you lot, we'd like some feedback from our G series users 😄

1) What type of games do you play on your G series?
2) What is your preferred peripheral setup?

Thanks everyone!

All sorts of steam titles as I can afford to buy them.
Left 4 Dead
Counter-Stike and/source
Doom 3

Others played more often
StarCraft II
GTA4

Not so often but loved
Bioshock
Oblivion

*I want to update my game library, I want L4D2, Bioshock 2, Fallout 3 or NV, Metro 2033, Skyrim, RUSE, Rage. (that was not in order) And I would like to point out that I have not updated my gaming library in so long because I have not had a computer in a long time that could handle it, now I feel like I do.

Typical setup

Headphones or external speakers till sub issue is fixed, but for games like SC2 I just use the laptop speakers because directional sound is not as important.

External mouse is first option

Built-in keyboard is first option; if I am at certain places desk and chair arrangements make it easier to use external keyboard.

Champions Online
Star Trek Online
Civilization IV
Supreme Commander
EverQuest
EverQuest II

I use the keyboard that comes with my new G75VW and a Logitech trackball mouse - connected by wire USB

1) MMOs, RPGs, FPS,
-Saints Row 3
-Prototype 2 (recently got a 3D tv this ones fun to play in 3D)
-DC Universe
-WoW (tried it lost interest)
-Starcraft II
-Diablo III
-Max Payne 3 (one of the better stories ive experienced in a while)
-LoL

2) I still use my Razer Diamondback Mouse, also my Logitech MX5500 Keyboard and Mouse, and my Logitech G930 7.1 Wireless surround set.
-More recently I bought a 3D TV and have been gaming on that in 3D it adds a whole new aspect to gaming a lot of fun but frame rate really takes a hit.
G75
-i7-3610QM -16GB DDR3
-256GB Patriot SSD -Nvidia GTX 670M 3GB
-1TB HHD Storage

1) WoW, WoW MoP, Diablo III

2) When "docked" I use my Razer Tarantula KB, Razer Mamba mouse, and Nostromo N52 te. When out and about thus far I've been just using the laptop "naked", though I may pick up a mobile mouse for it.
G55VW-RS71 from XoticPC
Additional 750GB HD in Optical Drive slot
40GB mSATA SSD Cache Drive
24GB total RAM
IC Diamond Thermal Compound on both CPU and GPU

Asus G55VW-DS71

World of Warcraft, AION, NFSOTR

Razer Death Adder, StealSeries WOW gaming mousepad, Ancient CA gaming speakers that actually sound amazing for 40 $ and yeah xD

Please make a separate support line for ROG clients. I don't feel like a valued costumer who spent over $ 1700 when I call. Amazing forums though 😄

Oh, and a OS recovery CD would be nice, hate not having the option of setting up my own system 🙂

Thanks,

I have Witcher 2 somewhere, may have to give it a try and I will NEVER forget Skyrim It's a fantastic game and I'm enjoying it immensely, I have 20 or more mods in mine which has enhanced the game play in a huge way, I restarted recently because my old game was messed up( something I did to a file I shouldn't have messed with) but the game is great plus I have recently finished the Dawn Guard story that was fun.

you should try some mods and give it a second chance.

1) Games I've thrown at it so far: L4D2, Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, WoW, SW:TOR, Alan Wake, Orcs Must DIe 2. D3 stutters something fierce, but everything else runs flawlessly

2) Logitech g400 mouse.
