ROG Strix SCAR G733QM Backlight Bleeding

Hi,

I recently got my G733QM and after a pixel test I noticed on a dark background a smaller lighter spot in the top left corner and in the top middle part.
After google what it is, I learned its called backlight bleeding.

My question is now, if this is normal on this kind of asus IPS panels?
Do others have the same "problem"?

I don´t notice is when using it normal, but as I know it now I would like to know if this is something I should use my warranty for?
Is it then quaranteed that I get a "undamaged" panel or can it get even worst?
After all it´s not a cheap laptop, not sure if this counts as normal.

Thanks

If it's bothering you I would contact support and ask them if it would qualify. There is some variation in tolerances when IPS screens are assembled so I'm not sure any panel would ever be 100% perfect but it shouldn't be noticeable during normal usage.

Hi Wuschul,
Please kindly contact our local team and share a picture with them, so they would be able to judge by the warranty criteria.
Thank you.
