There are a few possibilities, if it is overheating excessively it will shutdown to the point it stays inactive to prevent complete failure. Has it been running ok previously, like not hot or anything? You would need to get the thermal paste checked / replaced if it is in this state then see if it works after.
Other issues are not so good, the power circuit on the motherboard might be gone or failing.
The GPU itself could be faulty too.
But those two you would have started to see signs well before it got to failure.
In the BIOS load the setup defaults in case something is causing a problem but other than that you will need to look into the above.
