I mean I like both and have been dragging on low to mid range laptop so I decided now to go for the kill but is it worth it though spending this much, here in Canada it’s almost 6k cad for the latest 5080 one and I heard it has some heating issues which leads to parts getting burned and screen issue. I am not interested in other brands however if one I would go with the Lenovo legion pro 7i 16. Please and thank you for your response in advance looking forward to buy on by coming Black Friday .

Hello,

I would recommend going for the newer generation CPUs and not the 14900HX or earlier. The newer laptops have better cooling  / heatsink on the CPU and due to being newer they are not prone to the previous security flaws / microcode bugs in the earlier models.

But what is the intended use for the laptop? If a powerful GPU is not required then perhaps save on that?
