hey everyone, I just recently got a brand new laptop and immediately did an upgrade of the ram (16>64) and replaced factory installed Hynix 1TB nvme with 2x Kingston Fury Renegade 4TB ones and wanted to share with people who might in future look for this info that dual sided nvme drives fit without any issue (these Kingston even have a thin graphene-aluminium heat spreaders) as well as dual sided ram modules (went for gSkill)

Be careful with this sheet metal "heatsink", because in fact it is just a dummy.

Without a real heatsink, this drive can heat up to 80°C (!) under load.

didn't go past 51 degrees in heavy load from what I managed to observe, I'll keep an eye anyway just in case

@siberianwlf have you had any issues with running 2 x 4TB? I want to do the same, but the Asus rep says only 2 x 2TB is possible and he is not providing any more information on this limitation.

no issues at all, everything works great 😃
