ROG Strix i7-7700 Win10 no RGB control

Hello.

I recently acquired my sons old 2018 ROG Strix 17" i7 laptop. After re installing a fresh install of windows 10 home I am unable to control the RGB keyboard.

The lights all work and are in a constant roll, on/off, dim/bright and color change. Demo mode?

I have no control. I have tried to install Armory Crate and Aura but cant seem to solve the issue,

Do you have Asus aura install on your device.

I have tried both Aura and Armoury Crate. I am hoping it is just a setting I am missing
