Rog STRIX g814J1R upgrades

So I am wanting to upgrade storage and memory. I bought a Samsung 990 plus 4tb SSD that I am going to install alongside the original. Is it possible for everything to be moved over to this drive without reinstalling all of my programs etc then upgrade that one down the road. And ram, It says I have 32g right now but would like to go bigger. I've seen going to 64 is no big deal but also hearing the 96 may be possible. Anybody have thoughts on this?

I think it's better to reinstall everything and do the partitioning yourself on the new drive, instead of transferring from the old one and using disk cloning programs.
You can use 96 GB of RAM, this (crucial ct48g56c46s5) works in my G614JZ (i7-13650HX, RTX 4080), so I think it will work in your laptop too. But it gets hot up to 120 C in tests, but maybe it's just in tests, when playing Cyberpunk 2077 the temperature is 80 C.
For example, you can read this review amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R7LR1EER7EIOQ/

Thank you. That's nice to know it can go up in ram a ways. Main reason I didn't want to re install programs is some of them have to be done by someone else and I don't want to loose all the license keys etc. and have to pay for them all again to be re installed.

Yes, you can clone your original drive to the Samsung 990 Plus 4TB SSD using cloning software, so all your programs and files transfer without needing to reinstall them. For RAM, upgrading to 64GB is typically straightforward, but 96GB depends on your motherboard's supported capacity. Check your motherboard specs to ensure it supports that much RAM before upgrading. So I dropped 64 of Kingston fury impact 5600 into it just a bit ago and I didn't have to do a thing lol. It took a bit longer to start up but recognized the ram without me doing a thing. It is also running at 5600 with 64g in it. Maybe I got lucky or they changed something, I was under the impression that I was going to drop to 5200, but it didn't so I'm happy.
