I've had ROG Strix G614JIR laptop for over a week now and it's been great besides this one massive issue.
Some time at random, the USB devices shut off, along with the laptop keyboard. The only input still working is the trackpad allowing me to restart the device which seems to fix the issue until it happens again. I have tried-
1. Reinstalling the USB drivers (Every single one). Uninstalled the drivers from device manager and restarted to let windows reinstall them.
2. Checked event viewer which showed- "The driver entered RTD3. All the connected devices will be removed from driver's internal state, so it is expected that DeviceDisconnected events will happen." Fixed this by turning off USB selective suspend setting.
3. Tried different USB device configurations. All lead to the same outcome. I have a dongle wireless mouse, wired keyboard and dongle wireless headset attached, nothing else.
I had an Asus customer support technician come by to check the laptop and nothing unusual turned up in the system scans he did.
It's been driving me insane for days now because someone else also had the same issue but that forum thread was locked without a solution. Please help!
I'll update here if I find a solution.
