Laptop model: ROG Strix G18 2023 (G814JI, BIOS 328)
OS : Windows 11 Pro 23H2, build 22631.3593
Audio codec : Realtek ALC3251
ArmouryCrate : 5.9.4.0 (installed from “Armoury Crate Full Installation Package” 1.4.2.6, 4 GB)
Issue
-----
Two-Way AI Noise-Cancelation stopped working on the built-in microphone.
• No virtual device “AI Noise-Cancelling Input (ASUS Utility)” in *Settings → System → Sound → Input*.
• Armoury Crate sliders change nothing; only “Microphone Array (Realtek USB)” is present.
• AacAudioMixerSrv service is missing in services.msc.
What I tried
------------
1. Ran **Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool** → reboot.
2. Disabled Wi-Fi/LAN to prevent Windows Update.
3. Removed *Realtek Audio*, *ASUS System Control Interface V3* in *Settings → Apps*.
4. Deleted “Realtek USB Audio” in Device Manager with “delete the driver”.
5. Rebooted, then installed
• `Realtek_Audio_Driver_V6.0.9590.1` (87 MB) from the notebook support page – *and separately*
• **Armoury Crate Full Installation Package** (4 GB).
6. Armoury Crate shows every component as “installed & up-to-date”, but *AacAudioMixerSrv* never appears.

you have the opportunity to return the BIOS to the old one and make a factory reset 22H2, this will practically solve all the problems associated with sound. The fact is that the factory image is cunningly configured depending on the driver priorities, registry settings for the correct operation of noise reduction.
No matter how many times I tried to configure it myself, it worked with minor errors.

Tell me the bios version that is adequate and works with sound, and also if I reinstall/reset the version to 22H2, and then update to the current version. Will the drivers be reinstalled and everything will go anew?
