Hello I have g18 g814ji with 2x8gb 4800 ram and I wanted to upgrade it with 2x32gb 5600 ram. But when I plug one of these rams pc wont boot. It stuck at black screen. Here is what I tried;
I tried different bios versions, 305-313-317-318-321-328
I tried plug 1 ram and wait until it “trains” like 1 hour for every bios versions.
I tried to plug one default ram (8gb) and 1 new 32 gig ram.
On crucial's website, it says g814ji compatible with 5600mhz 32gb and 2x32gb ram. And there is many people upgraded their notebooks to 64gb or more. But mine won’t boot the pc. What can I try?
UPDATE; Today I bought 2x32gb 4800 mhz ram. And they also not pass training section. Even i try to plug 1 32gig 4800 ram it still wont work. It is so weird.
UPDATE; Today I bought 2x16gb 5200 mhz and they worked without any problem but weird situation happened. I plug 32gb 4800mhz top slot and left 16 at bottom, it worked as 48 gb. But bottom slot never accepts higher than 16gb. Its locked from bios I think. Because I read some people’s rams not working after bios updates.
