Hey my temps keep reaching 95C when playing games or atleast on the high 80C constantly it never goes down from 88 when playing a game like balatro. Already send it back ones and they said they couldn’t find anything.
In armoury crate I’ve tried every setting from quiet to turbo and it doesn’t really matter. When idle and not running anything it’s still on 70-75C and it won’t go down. I am planning on sending it back again unless people got some advice on what to do

Hello,
Seems too high for idle and if in turbo mode, was it always like this or over time?
Liquid metal does need servicing so if it's not making good contact you will always have higher temperatures. Are you able to take apart and fix yourself or willing to give it a go?

If you were to make those adjustments (I assume 14900HX CPU) how are things? (also included some results for reference purposes but if you have a better GPU your CPU is naturally doing more work when gaming so will be hotter)
Regardless of the above, if the cooling efficiency is gone it will always be hot no matter what you do.
As a general guide, 90 Deg C is about average for unlimited FPS and untouched CPU settings (boost / voltage). Some games will be quite demanding, balatro would seem like a game that doesn't require much. (The CPU can run max boost on 2 cores if things permit, this means 5.8GHZ and close to 1.5v core voltage, basic games / apps can make it run hot under the right conditions). On my website I talk about a CPU test 2 thread / single thread which caused the CPU to hit 99 Deg C, same logic applies to simple games.
Any other games like cyberpunk?
