Hello rog gamers. I personally own an rog strix g17 2023 with Ryzen 9 7845hx and rtx 4070 and last but not least 32gb ddr5 ram and 5TB nvme 4.0 ssd storage.
Now i've had this laptop for about 3 months since i bought it on sale. It is and was a great gaming beast coming from an desktop gtx 1650 and Ryzen 5 3600. But last week i had some problems with the device. I was just typing in word documents for school. Than suddenly without warning my bluetooth wifi and lan port disappeared. So i thought well let me do a quick restart that should fix it right ? Well wrong... So i went to the rog site got the newest drivers put them on usb put them on my laptop's desktop and installed them. Than did a cold boot and it didn't work. So than i did a bios update to the most recent version. Didn't work. So at that point i almost tried anything. So i was like well it is running Windows 11 i don't know it might cause issues. Turns out after reinstalling Windows from usb and formatting all partitions and the drives i reinstalled Windows and it didn't work... So i did the offline bypass because otherwise my machine wouldn't function so i couldn't troubleshoot. Than i went and asked a friend of mine whom suggested some chipset driver updates. So i went to the rog site and installed them. No didn't work either. So i opened the laptop thinking well it might be the wifi card not being plugged in correctly (wouldn't explain the rj45 port though) so i looked and it was seated correctly so i closed it again. Than i was like well i am getting all of these drivers of rog's site. Maybe if i try and get chipset drivers of amd's site. Turns out that did the trick. After installing that and doing a "cold boot" as msoft likes to call it, it worked. Since than i haven't had issues.
