Hello,
A lot of stuttering and freezing might be due to heat related problems but before considering this it's a good idea to find out how hot things are running in your laptop.
Did this happen from day 1 or over time as you used the laptop it has progressively got worse?
For temperature checking I recommend hardware monitor https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.57.zip
When you run this program press on the + sign to expand all the sensor data, the ones you need to look at are all the temperature readings. So for example if you are playing a game and see the temperatures over 95 Deg C this is a problem as that's the point when the CPU or GPU will start to halt performance and cause stutters.
Here is an example screenshot from my laptop, at the time of writing this message.
Run your game in windowed mode with hardware monitor at the side so you can see. (tabbing out will not provide accurate readings as the moment you do that the CPU workload decreases)
