Bios 327. (Stock settings)
Win 25H2 latest.
Nvidia Drivers 591.67
Latest Armory Crate ver. 6.3.9.0
Everything else Up-to-date.
MyASUS updates checking almost everyday.
After 318 update and every update after including 327, brightness is broken. The minimum level is too high, and at Eco Mode (which supposed to be ''ECO'') is even brighter than Standard mode.
Could you Asus bring the previous brightness from before the 318 Bios update please ? That's pretty much major issue for me, especially that since 327 there is sadly no other updates so far.
I have also a question about Armory Crate features. It could be nice to have some switcher in the app, for Display Refresh Rate modes. Or simply Fn+R for example, to switch between 240hz and 60hz whenever I would like to play at 60hz (60fps), especially because of this weird G-sync range, which is only 25-60hz or 109-240hz and nothing between 60-108hz.

I've encountered this issue as well. Have you tried the Ultimate mode? I've noticed the brightness goes much lower when the display is connected to Nvidia GPU (through MUX switch) compared to the iGPU.

I actually did try out Ultimate mode, but I usually using it unplugged on battery, and I need as much battery as possible.
With ultimate mode, instead of 6-7h I getting like 2-3h and fans are keep spinning because of active Nvidia GPU.
Before, on 318 bios, in Eco mode, I had very comfortable low brightness, especially for night time use. But Asus of course had to brake it, and since every update after 318, despite lots of complaints about it, they keep the broken brightness broken continuously.
I didn't paid so much money only for trying to figure out myself a solution, for something that should be on top of its possibilities.
I really don't know what is going with Asus lately..

Yeah, that really sucks. Hopefully a future BIOS update fixes it, if one even comes.
Unfortunately, every laptop brand seems to have its own set of issues. I’ve owned quite a few from different manufacturers, and none of them have been completely problem-free.

So far I had HP Pavilion Gaming 17 with GTX 1660Ti on the board, not much issues, except battery wasn't too good.
Lenovo 5 Pro with RTX 3070, which I bought from Facebook with broken one ram slot ram, but with extended warranty.. Lenovo service decided to take it from me, and they replaced new motherboard + new cooling system, and within a week I had it back lol.. no issues after that with anything.
Meanwhile after I bought Asus.. terrible Coil whine, IPS screen led bleeding, speakers weren't working properly (due to firmware issues), system was lagging (still is occasionally), issues with Mux Switch.. and customer service told me that they would need minimum 2 weeks to investigate if Coil Whine and Screen bleeding is outside of their "normal behaviour"..
Now the brightness is broken, system stutter at times for no reason, coil whine is there even in Eco Mode whenever CPU has something more intensive to do than just displaying a desktop (not to mention when Nvidia GPU is set as primar), screen bleeding is visible only at higher than 40% so isn't too bad, as I usually keep it at 0-20%. So, since around a May 2025 I'm just tired of this company and my next laptop will be Lenovo as I planned to do so but someone convinced me about Asus..

That’s definitely a lot of issues for a single device, especially considering the price. I’ve had most of those issues as well on my SCAR 16, though the coil whine doesn’t bother me much. The biggest issue for me so far has been the unstable NVIDIA Optimus mode. It pretty much prevents me from using GPU-accelerated creative apps in Standard mode because the system becomes unresponsive.

Personally I got used to the coil whine, but surprisingly all my Asus components, like Motherboards, PSUs, even GPU I had in the past, all of them had coil whine, MSI Mobo as well, but no issues with other brands.
The fact that other brands like Lenovo for example, have no coil whine, means that Asus saving lots of money on cheap components, and you paying only for design and Logo..
About optimus mode, that's exactly what I have as well. Whenever I use anything else than games on Nvidia dGPU mode only, everything has this stuttering, like it would choking itself.
And when using iGPU in hybrid mode, and Nvidia will be used by some app for GPU acceleration, it also stutter in this app.
So I almost entirely sure that we can blame broken Mux Switch/Firmware but can't tell if that's completely Asus fault or windows itself as well.
Everything runs smoothly as long as I make sure that no app will use iGPU while running at dGPU, but usually at Ultimate Mode, windows don't see iGPU anyway.
I've read on forums that other brands users, also having similar issues with Mux Switch, so it's possible that it might be Mux Switch+ Windows doesn't like eachother, and we have also buggy Nvidia drivers these days, while Manufacturers didn't released any OEM GPU drivers since few months, so we have to use Nvidia ones.
Entire 591.xx family is broken on laptops with mux switch, and only 581.57 seems to works perfectly on my Asus.
