My Rog Strix g16 g614jv started to show horizontal black line all over the display. After some time the whole screen is starting to become white or merging with surrounding colors.

When checking the refresh rates, I found out they are off from standard values (60.01 instead of 60 and 165.01 instead of 165).

I want to know that is issue is caused by this refresh rate problem or another thing.

from this forum, I found out about using EDID and CRU software to change these refresh rates. And I think my display timing values are way off from the standard values.

It would be great help if anyone could tell me is this working or this is a hardware issue that cannot be fixed.

PS> I have connected an external monitor, it worked fine. The only problem is with the inbuilt monitor.
The horizontal lines exist in the loading screen (ROG logo) so I think it also exists in the bios menu.

It would be a great help if anyone with G16 could run EDID or CRU software and send me the correct values cause I think even if I buy a new screen it will cause the same issue.

I observed something similar on the G814 model after updating from Factory Windows 11 Home 2.05 > Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise key

option "Keep Personal Files and Apps" violates system settings and causes a bunch of driver bugs.

installation/update with the "Keep Personal Files Only", and "Nothing" option does not cause glitches. If this is your case, try clean Windows 11 install. Especially if these strips are missing in the bios / usb Ventoy WinPE .iso
